ring in the new year= ဒီဇင္ဘာ၃၁ရက္ ညသန္းေခါင္တြင္ ႏွစ္သစ္က်င္းပသည္။

To turn over a new leaf= လူသစ္ စိတ္သစ္ျဖင့္ ျပန္လည္စတင္သည္။
