to cut two/both ways= နှစ်ဖက်စလုံး မျှမျှတတ အကျိုးသက်ရောက်မှုရှိစေသည်၊ ကောင်းကျိုးနှင့် ဆိုးကျိုး နှစ်ခုစလုံး ရရှိစေသည်။
အသုံး။   ။  Their solution will cut both ways; it'll take longer but is permanent.
               Banning imports of cars could cut both ways: other countries may ban the
               import of cars produced here.

to clean up your act= မိမိစွမ်းဆောင်ရည် တိုးတက်မှုရှိစေသည်၊ ကိုယ်ကျင့်တရားကောင်းမွန်စေရန် စတင်ပြုမူနေထိုင်သည်။

to blow a gasket= ရုတ်တရက် စိတ်မထိန်းနိုင်အောင် အလွန်ဒေါသထွက်လာသည်။
အသုံး။   ။ Don't blow a gasket, it's just a tiny scratch on the car.

a drop in the ocean/bucket= နည်းပါးသော ပမာဏ၊ တခြားအရာများနှင့်နှိုင်းယှဉ်လျှင် မပြောပလောက်သောအရာ။
အသုံး။   ။ I'm glad Tony started repaying the money he borrowed from me, but the
              five dollars he gave me yesterday is just a drop in the ocean compared to
              what he still owes.

(to be) hard put to= ခက်ခဲမှုနှင့် ရင်ဆိုင်ရသည်၊ မဖြစ်နိုင်ဟုယူဆထားသည်ကို ပြီးမြောက်အောင် ရုန်းကန်ကြိုးစားသည်။

              match his popularity.
